Geraud is the Chief Executive of BD Giving, an organisation reimagining how communities influence and benefit from local funding.

In his role, he leads work to democratise philanthropy and social investment, ensuring communities have real power over the decisions that shape their futures. Under his leadership, BD Giving has developed innovative participatory models, including a community-led investment fund designed to build long-term, locally controlled wealth.

Before joining BD Giving, Geraud worked across international development, academia and public policy, focusing on environmental security, community-led development and participatory governance. He holds a PhD in International Development, during which he collaborated with Indigenous communities on self-determination and resource management — an experience that deepened his belief in the importance of local agency.

Geraud is passionate about how cities can balance equity, sustainability and participation to create fairer futures. As a Trustee at Centre for London, he brings his experience in participatory decision-making and the social sector to support the organisation’s mission to make London more inclusive, sustainable and responsive to the needs of its communities.
