Ellie Cosgrave is a Research Associate on the Liveable Cities Programme, a five-year programme of research to develop realistic and radical engineering solutions for achieving low carbon, resource secure UK cities in a way that maximises wellbeing. Her work explores transformative approaches to policy making and governance of cities. Ellie undertook her Engineering Doctorate at the University of Bristol, sponsored by the Smart Cities team at Arup. Her thesis investigated the policy and governance implications of the Smart City agenda and devised a practical framework for local authorities attempting to invest in this area.
