Establishing a transparent and competitive framework across regulation, taxation, and R&D, is a vital building block for business investment. As is ensuring that the UK has the right skills and infrastructure to support investment. This must be complimented by strong pro-business messaging, with government seeing business as an essential partner for growth.

The prize is huge: a more productive and prosperous nation, with revenues to invest in public services within sound public finances, and opportunity spread across the country.
