Reform is delighted to be hosting a private roundtable event at the Conservative Party Conference.
A high-quality education is a key enabler of social mobility, helping to ensure that all young people are equipped to reach their full potential. It is also key to ensuring that Britain is a competitive, prosperous nation, equipped with the skills for the future. Yet post-pandemic we have seen a worrying widening of the attainment gap, and the nation continues to face a profound skills shortage.
From school through to further and higher education, it is crucial that our educational institutions are developing children and young people for the modern labour market – and doing so via rigarious, engaging and personalised learning, and a mix of academic and vocational courses. This means involving businesses, making the most of new technologies and attracting a new generation of brilliant teachers.
Reform is delighted that Rt Hon Damian Hinds MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Education, will be leading this Conservative Party conference roundtable.
