Chris Romer-Lee co-founded social enterprise Thames Baths in 2013 to re-introduce swimming in the tidal Thames. In May 2015 the Thames Baths crowdfunding campaign raised £142,000 to fund a Pre-Planning Report looking at various central London sites. The proposals have been published globally and are at the forefront of discussions on the future of the River Thames. Chris also co-founded architectural practice Studio Octopi in 2003. The practice has undertaken a broad spectrum of work including a Greek amphitheatre in Berkshire, Delfina Foundation in SW1 and numerous private houses. The studio is currently developing plans for a natural lido in Peckham and various other floating pools around the World.
The London Conference 2016 came six months before London’s mayoral election. It explored the challenges facing London and what the new Mayor should do to tackle these.
