Sir James Cleverly MP

The Rt Hon Sir James Cleverly TD VR MP is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Braintree. Sir James has held several senior ministerial positions in government, including Home Secretary, Foreign Secretary, Education Secretary, and Chairman of the Conservative Party. Before entering Parliament, he was a London Assembly Member for Bexley and Bromley, where he led the Fire & Emergency Planning portfolio and served on the Metropolitan Police Authority, including its counter-terrorism committee.

He currently serves as Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.
